The Origin of Osteopathy

It is not a well known fact publicly that osteopathy has originated from Cherokee and Shawnee bodywork. Dr Still, Founder of osteopathy lived in Shawnee reservation land over 20 years as a medical doctor and during this time he learned about Indigenous medicine. He then separated the mechanical techniques of these healing arts into an organized system of health care called osteopathy in 1874.
