The College of Registered Manual Osteopaths (Canada), based in Thornhill, Ontario is registered as a national nonprofit Indigenous organization on June 27, 2019. CRMO registers and supervises its members practicing on treaty and tribunal lands of Indigenous Peoples to ensure public’s right to safe and ethical manual osteopathic care is protected. CRMO members are awarded the title of Registered Manual Osteopaths (RMO). The title of RMO ensures the health practitioner is a qualified manual osteopath who has the requirements of being a registered manual osteopath. CRMO employees, management team and board members are all Indigenous peoples (First Nation, Métis, Inuit), either through blood or by adoption. CRMO is not registered as a regulatory agency under health regulatory authorities of Canadian provinces.
