Osteopathy-heritage

Dr Andrew T. Still, founder of osteopathy worked for 2 decades in the Shawnee Tribes Reservation Land in the US. There he was introduced to Cherokee Healing Arts. He selected the physical body work techniques that included manipulation, mobilization, and soft tissue therapy techniques and organized it into a new manual therapy profession called osteopathy.

College of Registered Manual Osteopaths (Canada) is the first and only osteopathic indigenous owned/operated association in Canada with its own Council of Elders. CRMO is mandated to ensure the Canadian public’s right to safe, effective and ethical manual osteopathic care is protected.
